He was supported well by an excellent engine room. Parth Patel (35) and Ali Anthony (40) both scored well and so did Jamie Gollands who got 22 from just 15 balls. Oundle Town responded by making 199, falling 87 runs short of the total. Bashrat Hussain had an excellent captains innings of 73, but couldn’t go all of the way like Gary Freear had done just before hand. He was well supported by Alex Mitchell (69) and Saturday’s super skipper who has been in excellent form all season, David Clarke, who ended 54 not out. This massive total left Oundle Town with a lot of work to do. Potentially because they had one eye on the cup final the next day, the mustered 59, and two very talented young players Connor Parnell and Mohammed Saif. Off spinner Mohammed Saif, who has been turning a lot of heads lately with regular outstanding performances and Sunday he did that again as he took 3/8 , but Connor Parnell was the star of the show with the ball as the promising talent took 5/35. Gary Freear took 4 wickets and Parth Patel took 3 as Ketton posted their score. The response started well as Cambridgeshire keeper batsman and stand out Wisbech performer, Josh Bowers smashed his way to 81, but they couldn’t stop the strong bowling attack of Ketton. Superstar spinner Tom Sole took 3/51 and then the death bowlers, Gareth Wade, Zeeshan Manzoor and Peter Rowe bowled tight and earned a very good and very important win for Ketton. They have proven lately that the bowling attack can bowl anyone out, no matter how quick, and how many men they have playing. Remarkably, Ross Porter for Castor & Ailsworth bowled 18 balls, went for 0 runs and took 4 wickets. His figures of 4/0 topped the tbale in this one, but Castor's two superstars with the ball did the rest as Ryan Evans 4/21 and Stuart Dockerill 2/16, did the damage at the start to allow Ross Porter to finish it off and bowl Uppingham out for 39. Uppingham Town bowled well themselves, as Luke Griffiths and Mark Cox returned the same figures of 4/25 from their 12. A great effort in the Uffington run chase for Guy Cunningham, a very good batsman for both Uffington and Ketton on a Saturday this season.
