A historic day to come for Deeping Rangers

The Rangers are on TV!

An amazing and historic day is coming up for Deeping Rangers as they are playing live on the BBC in the FA Cup against Kidderminster Harriers. The Harriers, who play their football in National League North will be traveling to the Haydon Witham Stadium, the home of Deeping Rangers who play in the United Counties League. Kidderminster are play on level 6 of the pyramid, Deeping Rangers on level 9. But we all know that means absolutely nothing when it comes to the magic of the FA Cup, it all comes down to who is the better in the 90 minutes. In my opinion, Deeping Rangers have nothing to lose, whereas, Kidderminster Harriers have everything to lose. Make sure you get yourselves down to watch this huge game, or watch on BBC at 12:30 on Saturday 16th September.

This is a major opportunity for players like Charlie Coulson, a very talented central midfielder. The 21 year old, has the quickest feet going, and can control a game, Saturday is a massive opportunity for him to show off his talent. The former Peterborough United player has always thrived under the pressure and on the big occasion, he will be a dangerous asset to this strong Deeping Rangers side.

During this FA Cup run so far, Deeping Rangers have scored quick fire double in every game. In the first game the goals were scored 4 minutes apart and in the last two games, there were 2 minute time differences in both. Exciting football being played by Deeping Rangers and hoping that continues. For the Claret this season in the league, it has been Scott attack week in, week out. Scott Coupland and Scott Mooney have been excellent in front of goal and been in fine goal scoring form. Scott Coupland has lead the way, he netted 10 times in 10 games in all competitions. Scott Mooney is second for the Rangers having scored 5 times in all competition. Skipper, and all round star performer, David Burton-Jones has been excellent and has been solid all season for Deeping Rangers. He is one of the most reliable players on the non league football scene. Burton-Jones is also a great leader, on and off the pitch, and this will be vital ahead of the clash on Saturday lunch time.
