Greater Glasgow Player & Manager of the Month comp - September 2017
It is time to select the Greater Glasgow Player of the Month for September. We will also be runnning a manager of the month competition, I have nominated them, and the voting will run the same way as the player of the month competition.
I know that it is early, considering there is one more game to be played on the last day of the month, but I did not run this competition in August. Also, it seems fitting, announcing the September Player of the Month during the September break!
The voting will start at lunch time, 1pm, on Tuesday 19th September, and run to Wednesday 20th September at 9pm. It is one vote per person, and there are a few ways that you are able to vote. The way are; 1. We will be running a twitter poll, available at @__SportCentral. 2. Reply to the tweet with #GGPOTM or #GGMOTM and your vote. Also use this to join in the conversation. 3. You can email me with your vote and your name, the email address being sportcentral247@gmail.com. 4. Sending me a direct message on twitter.
As above, please join in the player of the month conversation by using #GGPOTM or #GGMOTM. If you would like to porvide any comments about the player or manager of the month, then send me a direct message on twitter.

⚽️Player of the Month - September 2017
•Alan Semple > Third Lanark Semple has been excellent this year and has been the star of the show for Third Lanark. They are currently top of the table having won four from four. The 31 year old striker has scored 11 goals from the last 4 games, he is in a great run of form and both Semple and Third Lanark will hope for the form to continue. •Scott Campbell > East Kilbride Y.M. East Kilbride Y.M. has been going about his business, and has been fierce infront of goal. Scott Campbell has scored 12 goals from the last 5 game for the club and second placed East Kilbride YM will be keen for Campbell to keep firing home. He was influential in their 11-0 victory this season and shows no signs of putting on the brakes. •James Burns > Westcliff Week after week James Burns scores for Westcliff, especially after his brace this past weekend against Hamilton Acad Vaults in the West of Scotland Cup. This season, James Burns has scored 7 goals, an impressive effort.
• Chrissy Aitken > Newshot
An excellent pre season signing for Newshot, and has not only scored numerous goals, but also had numerous assists.
⚽️Manager of the Month - September 2017
Grame Robertson > East Kilbride YM
They went unbeaten in the President's League Cup, including finishing above the very good and top of the top division, Newton Vale. They currently sit second in division two, including an excellent 11-0 victory. A very good side, who pushed their opponents all the way in the West of Scotland Cup.
David Ampleford > Third Lanark
The stats speak for themselves when it comes to why they are in the running after playing 4 and winning 4 in division two. Despite the result in the West of Scotland Cup, they must get a lot of credit for pushing a very good side, in Strathclyde University, a very strong Caledonian Premier League side, all the way in a 4-3 loss.
Jim Carroll > Newshot
The manager that is credited with what may have been the best signing throughout, the summer as Newshot managed to secure the signing of Chrissy Aitken, who has been proven to be a success. Newshot have not lost in the league and currently sit top of division three. Their victory in the West of Scotland Cup, after going through 90 minutes, extra time and then penalties, is testament to the manager who has conditioned his players to withstand this, and plays exciting football, as this result came after a 7-0 win.
Sean Donaghy > Newton Vale
Top of the tree. Newton Vale currently sit top of the table and they are the division one table, and have not lost a game in that league. After winning division two last year, Newton Vale lost a number of top players, but it testament to the manager, who constructed a winning team despite the loss of players. His side are well glued and doing excellently.
