EAW in Rushden this Sunday: The Build Up

In just a few nights time, at the Pemberton Centre, the lights get brighter, the music gets louder and there will be a whole lot of pyro! This Sunday (01/10), EAW: Extreme American Wrestling, rolls into Rushden, and it will be great. The card is stacked, and they show going to be great. EAW are live at the Pemberton Centre in Rushden on the first Sunday every month.

After this weekend, you do not have to wait long too see more high impact EAW action. They will be rolling into Woodston, Peterborough, and planning to get Woodston rocking. Make sure you get yourselves down to watch this company, excellent value of entertainment. There are plenty more EAW events this year, with 7 more, in just three months, including the Rumble in Rushden. Please, follow us on twitter @__SportCentral, and join in the conversation by tweeting us and using #EAW. All feedback is always welcome and it would be great to talk to you all. On Sunday, there are some huge matches with some massive implications going forward. I can assure you, it is going to be a brilliant event. The bonus match this week is Taylor Essex up against Ritmo, an extra match that will be a fierce contest for sure and a massive event for the company.

•Singles Match 1. Paul Malen vs. El Grando Beardo It is always exciting when El Grando Beardo is in a match, and Sunday will be no different, but there is a lot at stake going into this one. The stipulation being, that the winner of this match, gets to enter at number 30 in the Royal Rumble, an awesome advantage to have. Whereas, the loser of this match will have to enter first in the Royal Rumble match. The smaller Paul Malen, is a fighter and an underdog, and the man from Stapleford, Nottinghamshire will potentially relish under the pressure, something that he will have learned from his trainer, the well known, Stixx. He will be very happy should he enter 30th, but malicious Malen, would enjoy the scrap of going from number 1. As many would agree, the thought of El Grando Beardo, starting at number one in the Royal Rumble and going the whole distance, would be incredible to see, but the two men will have that in the back of their minds, but focussed on the task in hand, this Sunday at the Pemberton Centre. The Rumble in Rushden takes place on 5th November, and it will be an amazing event, one we will be covering and that you do not want to miss. •Fatal Four Way Elimination 2. RBN vs. Stealth vs. Harrison Bourne vs. Oliver Peace This match is going to be carnage, a type of carnage that you’re not going to be able to take your eyes off. The exceptional, 17 year old high flyer Harrison Bourne is going to be against the odds in this one, and will hope to go the distance. Everytime Harrison Bourne gets into the ring, he gets better, and Sunday night sees a massive test! Oliver Peace has had some great matches, with many, but especially Terry Isit. A wildcard in this one, is the mysterious Stealth, an outstanding performer, who is unpredictable, and could find himself standing tall at the end of this one. I can’t wait for this match, it is one that is going to be high impact from the start, and the elimination concept, as a pose to one pinfall, you won’t be able to take your eyes off this one for a second.

•EAW Light Heavyweight Match Stretcher Match 3. Eric Phillips vs. Andy Poole This is not an ordinary EAW Light Heavyweight Match, it is a match that you have injure your opponent so much, that they are on a stretcher. Eric Phillips, an excellent heel wrestler, one that has been outstanding in EAW, from his days in the Revolution, fast forward to his Light Heavyweight Championship reign. He is up against A Star Andy Poole, and he will be up for the challenge, and he wants the championship more than you can imagine! A Star will stop at nothing to get his hands on the gold and will be going toe to toe with Eric Phillips. •Mister Monsters Big Announcement In my opinion, few people that have wrestled for EAW have had as big of an impact as Mister Monster has. The face painted high flyer, has never disappointed and always puts on a huge performance. On Sunday night, he does not walk into EAW to wrestle, but with something that he wants to get off his mind. Mister Monster has an announcement for everyone that is a fan of EAW, please don’t miss out on this.

•EAW Heavyweight Championship 4. Terry Isit vs. The Whizz Kid One of EAW’s top heels Terry Isit, will be facing the Whizz Kid, and try to take his EAW Heavyweight Championship. Not many people on the EAW roster can get a crowd going and split an opinion like Terry Isit can. Isit always comes up with innovative offense and has been excellent for many years now. He goes from strength to strength, and on Sunday night, he will have his chance to try and get the gold from the phenomenal Whizz Kid. For me, it is no surprise that the brilliant Whizz Kid is the champion and the leader of the brand. He will be taking on Terry Isit and is going to be in his finest form and ready to retain in Rushden. When the Whizz Kid gets rolling, it could be time for the 1, 2, 3. This one is going to be a brilliant event, one that is going to send the lucky fans happy, I am sure of it.

This week, I managed to talk to the hard working and charismatic owner of EAW, Nick, and he is really excited for this Sunday, he said, "If you want tickets for this Sunday's Rushden show I highly recommend you reserve fast. We have sold so many seats it will be a turn away crowd on the night! So don't miss out, as it also features the very rare & awesome stretcher match. Not often you see that in the UK. There's a few shows in between but back in Rushden on Sunday the 5th November we have our huge annual 'Rumble in Rushden' show! Which also features top UK star Bubblegum and a VERY COOL match I can't announce yet. But it's always a fan favourite match and we can pretty much guarantee that show will sell out too! So if you have never seen EAW before, come give us a chance. We have truly amazing production values and fantastic wrestlers that deserve more recognition, we promise you will enjoy it as we cater for everyone from family's to the adults with a bit of everything for everyone's taste. For a £10 you can't go wrong 😉" We have also done a Q and A with Nick Bourne, and it will go live over the next couple of days, a really truly interesting read from a man that really does do everything wrestling and everything for the fans. He has some brilliant views on both how the business works and what's next for this brilliant product. Please all keep your eyes out for our report on the event next week, and all future events for EAW, the company deserves the support and more, please jump on board.
