Rematches will take place, next Saturday on the 7th October, and they will be playing with the knowledge of the opponent that will await them should they pick up a win. East Kilbride YM and Westerlands GG had their game called off due to the heavy rain on the Saturday morning before the game.

•Barshaw 4-5 Dynamo East Kilbride A win for the Greater Glasgow club Dynamo East Kilbride, they have started the season in excellent form and that has continued this form into the Scottish Cup, and booked their place in the third round. A nine goal thriller today, with the away side picking up the victory, winning 5-4 in a game that could have gone either way at any point. •Auchenfoyle [SECAFL] 2-2 Eastwood Parkmount 'B' AFC A brilliant performance away from home, against Auchenfoyle, and they have earned themselves a replay at home on Saturday 7th October. They were excellent in their 2-2 draw, another good weekend performance from Eastwood Parkmount 'B'. They will be full of confidence going into Saturday's replay as they will be the hosts and have that advantage on their side. •Blochairn Star [SSML] 4-3 Rannoch AFC Rannoch ran Blochairn Star very close this weekend, they were brilliant away from home, but could not get over the line. Rannoch played well for 90 minutes in this thrilling game, but fell at the final hurdle. •Calderglen AFC 3-1 Rossvale [SAFL] An outstanding performance from Calderglen, and three super goals, from Barbour, Campbell and Smith. They roll on through to the third round now, and continue to impress in both league and Scottish Cup competitions. They played well throughout, and will be ready to go again on Saturday. Calderglen were rightly very happy after their victory, and they said, "Great result in the Scottish cup today. Glen 3-1 Rossvale. Pressure paid off in the first half as we played a high tempo game resulting in us taking a two goal lead. A third made it a little more comfortable then we took the foot off the gas a bit allow a bit more pressure on us 2nd half. Vale hit the bar and a couple of good stops from the keeper gave them a bit of a lift. They had used all their subs when an injury forced them down to ten men. It was just a case of seeing the game over the line from then on". •Carbrain [S&D] 0-7 Boswell AFC An outstanding performance this weekend from Boswell, and especially their superstar, Steven Odunewu. Odunewu scored a hat trick and ran the game. He was well supported by Ben Feathers, the striker who bagged a brace and a goal each for Sean Donnelly and Duran Henclewood. A wonderful performance from Boswell, as they beat Carbrain. A good team effort all round, as they move onto a massive fixture in the league next weekend, as they face Newshot, two very good division 3 sides. After this crushing win, Boswell have said, "Superb performance from the whole team missing a few players today especially striker Berthold Tonle but manager masterstroke with putting Ben feathers upfront and grabs 2 goals and has his best performance yet.". They continued to say, "We were up 4-0 by halftime and playing good football against a well organised team but they just couldn’t get to grip with our fast paced football. Another clean sheet and into the next round superb performance from the referee’s nightmare Sunil Ch and plus making his first 90 mins in a Bozzy shirt Daniel Taylor". The outstanding efforts from Boswell's main man, was confirmed when Boswell added, "asked referee at the end of game for our MOTM and the ref said do you need to ask you’re number 8 was amazing our very own Steven Odunewu with his 5th MOTM and bagging a hat trick MTB". •Crookston Castle AFC 2-4 Blantyre AFC [GDSM] Despite an excellent start to the season, Crookston Castle fell short too Blantyre, but they played very well scoring twice, against a good side from the GDSM league. They will be ready to go back too in league action on Saturday. •Eaglesham AFC (CAL) 6-3 GSC Jordanhill AFC Jordanhill were up against tough opposition this weekend, as they faced Eaglesham of the Caledonian League, a brilliant league in Scotland. They did manage to score three goals away from home, with Kevin Brown scoring one, and Jamie Parker scoring twice, but Eaglesham were very good. Jordanhill move to host Cambria next weekend in huge division 1 action in the Greater Glasgow League. Iain Brown stated that, "a terrible 15 minutes for us gifted Eaglesham 3 goals in the first half. A big lesson learned against a street wise Eaglesham". Iain rightly remained positive, saying, "really disappointing, but we move on".

•Eastwood Parkmount 'A' AFC 10-0 North Kelvin Sports AFC Exceptional performance this weekend from Eastwood Parkmount 'A', as they passed through to the next round of the cup, after a 10-0 victory over North Kelvin Sports. They were brilliant after the September break, and will be ones to watch in the next round of the cup based on this victory. Eastwood Parkmount 'A' are enjoying a brilliant season so far this year and seem to be going from strength to strength.

•Erskine AFC 4-0 Cardross [SAFL] A clinical victory for Erskine, they beat Cardross 4-0 in the Scottish Cup. They have started the season in brilliant form so far, and they have gone through to the next round of the Scottish Cup. Erskine will be very happy with the result this weekend and will want to get stuck into both the league and to the third round of the Scottish Cup. •Helensburgh AFC 2-1 Dunoon Ams [SAFL] A massive win for Helensburgh in the Aryll Derby, they move on the third round now, a great performance, and important goals from Adam Sharkey and Ross Jeffrey. The Greater Glasgow League side Helensburgh were excellent and they beat Dunoon Ams of the SAFL. The goal keeper Callum O'Brien, was in inspired form and was excellent in keeping Dunoon Ams down to just one goal, and put himself through to the next round of the Scottish Cup. After a good win, we spoke to Helensburgh, who said, "Helensburgh came out on top in the Argyll Derby with a 2-1 victory over Dunoon of the SAFL. Goals from Adam Sharkey and Ross Jeffrey either side of Dunoons counter were enough to see the home side progress to the 3rd round." We continued to say, "It was a cracking cup tie that had everything you would expect from a derby, sending off, balls hitting posts, dodgy decisions. Manager Sam Gemmell was delighted with the win. We really dug deep today despite not playing as well as we have been. But that was down to Dunoon. They hit the post 4 times and really put us under the cosh. Only a special display from our Keeper Callum O'Brien kept us in it today but you also need that wee bit of luck sometimes".

•Newshot AFC 2-8 Goldenhill [SAFL] This Saturday, Newshot came up against a very good Goldenhill side, and they didn't progress through to the next round, so they will now have full focus on the league. Newshot have enjoyed a good season so far, and they will not let the performance in the Scottish Cup de rail their season. Next weekend, Newshot play Boswell, a very good side, in a massive game, which is sure to have huge championship implications come the end of the season. Newshot have said, "Started poorly for first 30 then came into the game an dominated to half time. Man sent of 1 min before half time. Against a great side would be difficult from there. Ended 8-2 Connor O'Neil goal and Kyle brown. Man of the Match Connor O'Neil. Looked to try take a bit of ownership and change the game. Goldenhill are a great side and the Better team won but we didn't do ourselfs justice for the level we are normally at".

•River Nevis [GCAFA] 0-5 FC Baillieston A comprehensive victory for FC Baillieston this weekend as they beat River Nevis 5-0, an outstanding performance that seems them through to the next round of the Scottish Cup. They proved their skill as they scored five and kept a clean sheet away from home. •South Lochaber Thistle AFC 2-3 Uddingston AFC [SSM] A great performance from South Lochaber Thistle, who unfortunately lost 3-2 in the end against Uddingston of the SSM league. The goal scorers were Logan Barker and Erik Tot were both finished well, a great performance despite defeat. The man of the match award was given to Erik Tot, who came off the bench and played brilliantly, in what his manager described as a "top notch display". "Another defeat for SLT but we're pleased with the improvements in our fitness and attitude and we know that the results will come soon. We wish worthy winners Uddingston all the best for the next round of the cup."

Craig Fellows was excellent for Newton Vale, despite only playing 45 minutes in the game, Fellows scored 4 out of the 5 goals for his side, an excellent performance from the talented winger. St. Pat's FP of the CEN league were a very well drilled talented side, onto league action for Newton Vale, they have been playing very well in the league this season. Craig Fellows was awarded man of the match, and rightly so, for the excellent performance. Newton Vale have said that, St. Pat's were very "organised". Newton Vale have said that, "They were very good going forward but fair play to our lads who brought it back to 5-4 and had chances to get level. Craig Fellows showed his quality coming on at half time and scoring 4 and assisting the other goal which Darren Hampson scored. All the best to St. Pats who showed today why their top of the central Scottish premier division. Hopefully we can get back to winning ways next week in what will be another tough game".

The game was refereed by the great Del Dempster, and St Thomas will be happy with how they played, and have positives to take from the game. Ryan McAnenay had a good game for St Thomas playing up front, and the player/manager will be ready to get going in league action for St Thomas. •Stedfast [CEN] 5-2 Ashvale Victoria AFC Ashvale Victoria put up a good display against Stedfast away from home in the Scottish Cup. A very good Stedfast team of the CEN league, but Ashvale Victoria were valiant, but fell short, but they will be focused on league action. •Third Lanark AFC 2-3 Hurlford AFC [AYR] An excellent game between Third Lanark and Hurlford in Glasgow this weekend, and both sides put in a great performance, with the old side, Hurlford taking the prize at the end, and will be going through to the next round. Third Lanark have been outstanding this season, and are at the best end of the table, and they will now look to league action, and will push to win the second division of the Greater Glasgow League.

Division 1 •Cambria 3-1 St. Patrick’s FP A comeback from Cambria today as they now find themselves sitting at the top of the table, after a 3-1 victory. The first Cambria goal came from substitute, Antonis Poulakis, but it was then the turn of the left back, Benj MacInness, as he put he doubled his team’s lead. The win was in the bag when Cambria scored their third of the game, as centre forward, Kevin MacDonald struck making it 3-1 to Cambria as they end the week on top of the tree. Mike MacKenzie kept his starting place this week, and he and the back four performed brilliantly. MacKenzie began the season as a goal keeper and has had a major transformation, and he is now a central defender, and even made the Team of the Month for September, a brilliant effort from MacKenzie. Cambria Starting XI: 1 C Ritchie, 2 R Renwick, 3 B MacInness, 4 Y Kanellos, 5 M MacKenzie, 6 W Fox, 7 A Smith, 8 C Marks, 9 K MacDonald, 10 S Gray, 11 M Law. •Glasgow University ‘A’ 4-0 Eaglesham Now that the Glasgow University is back for the start of the term, they played their first league game of the season, and they got off to a great start, The side did not take any time to blow off any cobwebs, or show any side of communication problems with their team mates, the club won 4-0, against an Eaglesham side that have enjoyed a good start to the season themselves. Glasgow University ‘A’ will be happy with the start they have made, and shows the real strength that they have going into this season. •Strathclyde University 2-1 Westerlands ‘A’ Westerlands ‘A’ have enjoyed a good start to the season this year, and they were excellent as they have been this season, but the impressive Strathclyde University took the spoils in this one. The two sides competed in a game that could have gone either way and been won by any side at any given time, but Strathclyde University were the side that made it over the line and won 2-1. Strathclyde may have been the fitter side, as this is the first league game of the season, but an excellent game. Division 2 •Colquhoun Utd AFC 1-5 Glasgow University 'B' AFC A wonderful start to the season for Glasgow University 'B' a side that have played their first game of the year and were excellent. Glasgow Uni will be ready for their next challenge in the league, and so will Colquhoun United, who play in President's League Cup action next weekend, against Helensburgh. Division 3 •Busby AFC 2-4 Carradale AFC Another great game in this interesting battle between the two clubs who have played each in their last two games. Carradale have won twice, scoring 10 goals in the two games, winning 6-5 last time out, and 4-2 this time out. Two brilliant games in division 3, and both clubs will take a lot of positives into their fixtures next weekend.
