Question 1 - Who was your biggest inspiration to become a wrestler? My biggest inspiration to become a professional wrestler comes from Aj Styles and My father. Aj styles provided an escape from the first day I saw him perform. He suspended my disbelief in such a way that I could lose myself in his performance. My old man was an inspiration to become a wrestler because after his stroke, wrestling gave us time together that I honestly thought we had lost because the stroke changed him, this inspired me to step into the ring to give back to people, family and friends the type of experience that wrestling gave to me growing up. Question 2 - Who's the best wrestler you have worked with and why? The best male wrestler I have worked with would definitely be 'The Chief' Jason Bishop, not only is he a really good wrestler, confident in the ring with a sick look to boot. He's also a very respectable guy in locker room and good to be around. The best female wrestler I have worked with is 'The Leading Lady of Professional Wreslting' Kat Von Kaige because she's passionate and amazing to be in the ring with, she also has a damn mean chop on her. Question 3 - What advice would you give to somebody, who wants to break into the business? Be passionate, be hungry and be strong because for as wonderful and amazing as this business is, it is tough and it will chew you up and spit you out. But if you can stick at it and apply yourself it will be worth it. Question 4 - What would be a normal day/week in the day of Jon Connor? My typical day starts with making my bed, a simple but important thing because it sets a nice productive mood for the day and on bad days there is nothing better than coming back to a made bed, after that it's a morning circuit and a shower. Breakfast and daily tasks like course work and note taking for my degree. After that it's the gym and anything that needs doing before trying to fit in a decent night’s sleep.
Question 5 - As a card trick enthusiast, is there a back up career as a magician? There's no back up. I am living and breathing for professional wrestling there is no need for a back up. I want this and I am going to get this. Period. Question 6 - The start of what's going to be great career I am sure, but what is the dream? The dream is to make it to NXT one day without a doubt but I have 3 main goals until then 1) Share a ring with Doug Williams 2) Wrestle for NGW 3) Wrestle In Scotland and Ireland Question 7 - What's been the hardest part of your career so far? I would say the hardest part is having the mental strength to move forward despite set back after set back and not losing yourself or who you are trying to make progress. Question 8 - What is your proudest moment for you so far? I don't have a proudest moment yet, instead what makes me proud is the progress I've made and I continue to make, the fact that since day one I have been the hardest working guy in my academy. Thank you for having me guys! Twitter and Instagram @jonconnor__
