Exclusive Q&A with the brilliant Party Boy Grazza Gates

An exclusive Q&A with the brilliant Grazza Gates, an excellent performer and one that is going to be a long way in the business of professional wrestling. He is one of the best at Full House Wrestling, a brilliant promotion that I will be doing a report on tonight’s event, episode 27. Grazza Gates has been killing it, and what many people will not know, is the adversity that he has overcome to get to this point in his career. Gates goes into great detail and provides very honest answers, a cracking read. The Party Boy is a brilliant wrestler, and has nailed his gimmick, and I can’t wait to see him go further and further in the business. He is a hard working athlete, and you should get to see him as soon as your can. He is in action tonight for Full House Wrestling, and I will be there. 1: Who was your biggest inspiration to become a wrestler? Shawn michaels mainly cos of his charisma, cocky charm that people just loved and his widely varied attire which stood out, he was someone i kinda wanted to be like. 2: Who is the best wrestler that you have worked with? The best wrestler i’ve worked with would have to be Stixx, there were four other guys I was in the ring with and wasn't in there for long with him but despite the fact he chucked me around a couple of times it was a match i was extremely grateful for to be in a match with him. 3: What advice would you give to somebody that wants to break into the business of professional wrestling? Work hard as the training never ever stops not just in the ring but out the ring as well and just enjoy your career my trainer told me once that it could end at any point and he is right and also if you are ever at a show, shake hands with everyone introduce yourself and give it your best, you never know who might be at the show. 4: You have wrestled at many venues, but where is the best? The best venue would have to be the Queen Catherine academy (once known as voyager academy) in Peterborough when I wrestle at Full House Wrestling which is also who I train under due to its size, the hall is always filled with an amazing crowd and the backstage area for getting changed is huge.

5: Who would your dream match be against? Also, if you could team with anyone, who would it be? There are so many names to choose from but I would love to face is Rockstar Spud, when I first started watching british wrestling properly he stood out for me with his badass attitude and his interaction with the crowd, and he is an amazing athlete and has done so well to make it to where he has today by making it to America. If I could team with anyone it would have to be Grado, we work similar by using our characters and is another name that has done well to make it to America. 6: What is a normal week/day in the life of the Party Boy Grazza Gates by life? Well during the day I work on a farm which has reindeer, ostrich, pigs, chickens, llama and alpaca, it’s exhausting but I love the work, I have recently just graduated from the University of Northampton with a BSc degree in Applied Animal Studies, during the evening I am either in the gym or training at the Full House Wrestling Academy every Wednesday night. 7: A great career so far, and it is only going to get better and better. But what is the dream? The dream is to try and make some form of living from wrestling whether it’s part time or even full time but i have a long way to go and am willing to keep working hard to become the best I possibly can, I have also always been interested in the promoting side of things and possibly setting up my own promotion away from Peterborough, but Full House will always be my home and a place I don't ever want to leave. Every wrestlers dream is to make it to WWE, TNA, or even Japan I wouldn't say no to any of those either. 8: What’s been the hardest part of your career so far? Over the past four years of my career a lot of stuff has happened in my personal life that I have had to try and keep separate from distracting me from my wrestling life, one of which occurred four years ago just before my first match which I can’t go into too much detail about, but I basically lost loads of weight and just looked so bad and felt bad but I was eventually able to use this as a motivation to want to succeed and being a wrestler has helped me come to terms with it by giving me a lot of confidence as well and life is so good. Another thing as well is I have mild autism and growing up an autistic child wanting to be a wrestler a lot of people didn't take me seriously and would tease or even bully me, even today I get the odd sly remark but I brush them off and ignore them because I'm doing something I always wanted to do and they can never take that away from me. 9: What is your proudest moment so far as a wrestler? Proudest moment would be winning the Full House Wrestling ascension title, beating snare for the belt was the best feeling ever and was the most emotional victory ever, ill admit it I cried but it all felt worth it because all those who have made fun of me or said I could never do it were wrong, so many great things have happened all at once for me this year and I don't want it to end and the support that my friends and family and trainers have given me has been amazing.

A great set of answers from the brilliant Grazza Gates, he has overcome a lot of adversity, and works so hard every day to be the best at what he does. A gentleman outside the ring, it was a pleasure to do a Q&A with Grazza Gates,. Tonight I will be attending his event and will be writing a report on his match, one that is set to be brilliant. Thank you very much to Grazza Gates, a brilliant wrestler and one that is going to only get bigger and bigger!
