Q&A with Dave Mastiff, of the best in the UK! A brilliant hard hitting wrestler.
How great is Dave Mastiff? This week I had the honour to do a Q&A with the exceptional Dave Mastiff. It was a pleasure to speak to the man known as the ‘Human Hate Machine’, among other things. He has won championships all around the UK, and the hard hitting bone crushing beast is going to keep fighting. Mastiff brings pain and he bring power to his opponents. Most recently, Dave Mastiff has had an incredible match the brilliant Eddie Dennis, just one of the phenomenal match, Dave Mastiff has been included in, this year alone. The Black Country brawler, began his career in 2002, and having wrestled for 15 years, the magnificent Mastiff, is just getting better and better. The bone crunching Mastiff, is one you should watch, should you get the opportunity to, he will leave your thinking, how did he do it, and what length will go to. Mastiff is takes no nonsense. The brutal wrestler, is an athletic 300 pound wrestler, that hits hard, a very dangerous combination. Dave Mastiff has been fighting wrestlers that have ‘made it’ in America, Moose, Jack Swagger and Donovan Dijak. Dave Mastiff is rightly regarded as one of the best on the British Wrestling scene currently, up there with Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Trent Seven, Jack Jester, all people that the Mastiff has gone toe to toe with this year, many he has beaten. For me, Dave Mastiff, is one of the best that the United Kingdom has, he is a must see wrestler, and one that is destined for big things, both in Britain and beyond. Dave Mastiff is an incredible wrestler, it was a pleasure to conduct this Q&A with a true gentleman outside of the ring, and a bone crunching, hard hitting wrestler inside of it.

1, Which three people would you want to be stuck on a desert Island with and why? Jennifer Aniston x3 2, If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing that you buy? Aston Martin and a Metro 6r4. 3, What series are you currently watching on Netflix? Modern Family but I’m waiting on the new Peaky Blinders. 4, What would be the perfect day in the life of Dave Mastiff? Wake up sun shining over looking the sea, workout, bit of time on the beach and a quiet night with good company to finish off. 5, How do you want to be remembered when you finish your wrestling career? I honestly don’t know. To be remembered would be good in itself. 6, What’s your most embarrassing moment, inside the ring or out? I don’t have any. When you do this you lose inhibitions in order to entertain people. 7, What is your perfect Pizza? My favourite was always anything with jalapeños and bbq meat. I’ve not had that in a long while though after making some changes to my lifestyle. 8, If you could have personally witness anything or been at any event, what would you have wanted to have seen? Even though I watched it on tv I’d have just loved to have been at the Nou Camp on May 26th 1999 for that champions league final. Close second would be the 1966 World Cup final.
Photo credit to Ringside Perspective. You can find them on twitter, @OliRingside. 9, If you could give one bit of advice to a young wrestler, what would it be? Class and professionalism are all the things the fans don’t see and they’re the most important tools you can have. 10, You have wrestled all around the Uk, but where is the best? I couldn’t pick one. Maybe the best is yet to come in fact. 11, You have had an incredible year, most recently you had an amazing battle with Eddie Dennis, but who is the best you’ve wrestled? I’ve worked hundreds and hundreds of opponents of many contrasting styles and many who I have learnt so much from. It wouldn’t do justice to single one out. 12, I first saw you wrestle on TNA British Boot Camp, you made an immediate impact on me, what was it like working with Samoa Joe, Gail Kim and Al Snow? Very good. Top professionals with humility. 13, Who would your dream be match, part or present be? Also, who would you want to team with? Shawn Michaels or The Rock. Arn Anderson, Stan Hansen or Terry Gordy to team with. 14, What is your dream, either inside or outside of the ring? I’m a pro wrestler, I’m living the dream! My goal though is WWE. 15, What is your proudest moment so far? I’m not sure. I’m not the most sentimental person so I don’t get wrapped up in events or occasions, I just see it as doing my job. In a few years time I will probably look back and realise some significant events. Like WOS, no matter what happens in the future that can’t be taken away from the people involved for the positive impact its had on Wrestling in Britain.
