EAW Rumble in Rushden Review! Two massive results, EOI are unstoppable, the Beast beats all and so m
What an amazing supershow, EAW Rumble in Rushden was, this Sunday! It proved many things, some of them being, that EAW has incredible talent, they are currently training promising talent, many that featured in the rumble, and of course, that they have produced some incredibly talented wrestlers! A night, that had the Pemberton Centre rocking, and the fans cheering! The return of two people that are taking over the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene. Who are they? You will find out in this article!
There are many questions to be answered at EAW in December. How will the Whizz Kid respond? When will the beast cash in his Championship shot? An incredible event, with so many stars on show. Everybody that competed were brilliant, a truly brilliant show. A massive thank you to Nick Ashberry he has done to make both EAW and the Rumble in Rushden happen, and make it the highlight of the EAW year, in my opinion, anyway! Thank you Nick. •Bonus Match: Joseph Kafka defeated. Odie Law An excellent warm up match between Kafka and Odie Law, two up and comers from the Knucklelocks academy in London, and it was an excellent match. The two showed their potential, and Odie Law wrestling his first match at the Pemberton Centre, and he was impressive, really settling in and find his feet as the match went on. The finish from Joseph Kafka was excellent, as he put Law away, with an excellent flurry of moves. An excellent performance from two very promising wrestlers, I am very excited to see what’s the come. •1, (Pumpkin on a Pole match) - Stealth defeated. Ritmo An exciting, unique match, between two of EAW’s best. It’s Halloween time, therefore tonight EAW featured a pumpkin on a pole match. It was between two of EAW’s best, Stealth of course, EAW’s only pirate, Ritmo! An excellent match, one that had the Pemberton Centre rocking, and something different, that we hadn’t seen before. The end of the match, however was marred in controversy, as Stealth had his feet on the ropes, and used it to pick up the pinfall. Once the pumpkin had been removed from the pole, it was left in the ring, and Ritmo dived from the top rope, landing on the pumpkin. The match ended via pinfall, but of course, feet were on the ropes. I feel there is some unfinished business here! Ritmo is a brilliant wrestler, with an excellent unique style and an awesome moveset. He is lightning quick in the ring, and you never know what he is going to do next. His DDT’s, his hunicanrana’s from the top rope, are un matched, and you can’t take your eyes off Ritmo! Ritmo tells a story in the ring, with what he says, and with his emotions, he tells a story without having to say a word, a gift that will go a long way. After the match ended, and Ritmo had lost due to the referee missing something, he told a story with his body language, and expression, for me, this is a gift. Ritmo could be the next in line for a real push in EAW, an excellent wrestler, who never fails to disappoint, tell a story and get the crowd behind him. Stealth was great throughout the match, and the mysterious wrestler, showed his power from the start. He utilised every 5 count to slow the pace down, and take Ritmo’s strengths away from him, proving what an intelligent and deadly wrestler Stealth is. Stealth was excellent throughout the match, creating a new fantastic part of the show with Ritmo. Stealth proves each week, he is what his name suggests, and keeps getting better every time he goes inside the ring. •Promo Announced as, the rule breaker, trouble maker, NOT the EAW Heavyweight Champion, Terry Isit came out with microphone in one hand, and the EAW Heavyweight Championship in the other. They explained how the championship belongs to the Whizz Kid, and Terry Isit begins to apologise for his actions towards Whizz Kid last month. But Terry Isit quickly changed and he said how he is going to be EAW Heavyweight Champion, and then the intense J-Denn Scarr came out. Terry Isit laughed and mocked Scarr, telling him to stay out of the way, and go into the rumble. J-Denn Scarr was intense and grabbed the microphone off Terry Isit, and simply saying, I am J-Denn Scarr! They exchange words, and then Terry Isit takes it a step to far, and J-Denn punched the troublemaker. As the brawl began, there was only one thing left to do. Make this match official, and that they did. An incredible match between, two of the best in EAW got under way, and it was great.

•2. J-Denn Scarr defeated. Terry Isit Who is the real champion? A very good match, the excellent Terry Isit controlled the pace of the match, against the challenge J-Denn Scarr. Terry Isit is a brilliant heel. In everything Terry did in Rushden, he proved to be a dominant heel, despite the result of the match. He is a trouble maker, and a rule breaker, but it works, he is excellent at what he does. The dirty tactics, including spraying water in the face of J-Denn Scarr, add to an exceptional wrestler. Isit even took time out of the match, mid way through to do his hair, and style it in a pony tail, showing the confidence he has. J-Denn Scarr came out with intent, and proved throughout just how intense he is. He was talked down to, he was laughed at, and he was mocked by Terry Isit, but all that did was light a fire in the belly of J-Denn Scarr. J-Denn Scarr proved at the Rumble in Rushden, that he can be dangerous, and that he is not somebody to laugh at, or take lightly, an awesome showing for a brilliant intense fighter. To be a true heel, you have to do it all, and Terry Isit, does it perfectly, and is destined for big things in EAW. Is it proves every night, that he really, is, it!! As Terry Isit climbed to the top to jump down, and look to put J-Denn Scarr away, he was hit by a lethal move from J-Denn Scarr, and an awesome pin, and before Terry Isit knew it, Scarr had won. After match promo After the match, J-Denn Scarr acknowledge that the EAW Heavyweight Championship belongs to Whizz Kid, and he says that he will hold it temporarily, until next month when Whizz Kid is back. I can't wait to see what Whizz Kid, has to say about this! Shortly after, in the ring, they made the match official, that the correct champion, Whizz Kid, will fight the interim champion, J-Denn Scarr for the EAW Heavyweight Championship. A great show of morals, and doing the right thing for J-Denn Scarr, who deserves to take the championship home, even if it is just for an interim period, he was brilliant in Rushden. • 3. Harrison Bourne defeated. Chris Tyler vs. Rude Boy Nate As Chris Tyler says before he hit his devastating finishing move, “ain’t no stoppin me, no!”, he looked set to win this excellent triple threat, but for one man. Harrison Bourne. This was an awesome match, and one of the major highlights of the night. An excellent match, and it was fantastic to see Chris Tyler return. The high flying king of flips, have had an incredible year, and going toe to toe with Chris Tyler and Rude Boy Nate, may have been the highlight of it, let alone winning the match! Harrison Bourne will be proud of this victory, and for making the Pemberton Centre rock when he came out, to an ovation. Chris Tyler showed his hard hitting and excellent kicking style throughout the match, on a massive return to EAW. Chris Tyler began his incredible career at EAW when he was a teenager, and grew up into one of the best in the United Kingdom. The fact he has been involved with the WWE UK Championship Tournament, is credit to both the talented Chris Tyler and EAW, it was amazing to see him back! Although it did not seem much at the time, for me, the handshake between Chris Tyler and Harrison Bourne at the start of their match, was more than just a show of respect. Rewind five years, Chris Tyler was one of the top prospects on the British Independent scene, with a bright future ahead of him, and today, that is EAW’s own Harrison Bourne! Two of EAW’s best, and two that are going to be remembered as the some of the best at what they do. Rude Boy Nate played his part in this match in great fashion, the heel got the crowd going. He provided the different edge to a great match. Rude Boy Nate, is definitely one to watch and look out for going forward, he’s a quick striker and can do it at any point. Tonight, has been a passing of the torch, in EAW! •4. (Monsters Brawl Match) - Evolution of Imperfects (C) (Eric Phillips & Mr J Danny West) d. Mister Monster & A-Star Andy Poole Last night, Evolution of Imperfects, went to hell, and did more than just live to tell the tale, they won! What the Evolution of Impects said at the end of the match, may have been the most honest thing of the night...You are just going to have to learn to love them! They were awesome one again, and it appears that they may be champions for a long time, becase they look unstoppable. This match got crazy, fast. Evolution of Imperfects showed just how cunning and smart they are at the end of this match. When the brilliant Eric Phillips used Monster's own chain to tie him to the entrance ramp, meaning he could have no effect on the ending of the match. The heel pairs plan was excellent, a brilliant idea from Evolution of Imperfects. To validate the plan, they slammed A-Star Andy Poole through the time, but being lifted by Mr J Danny West, and Eric Phillips diving off the top rope to put Andy Poole through the table, not once, but twice, to win the match! Mister Monster, proved once again, what we all know, he is an incredible wrestler, that will go to any length to entertain, and entertain, he does everytime. It does seem that he feels no pain, after taking a suplex off the top rope, through a plank of wood, on two chairs, one of the chairs, wrapped in barbed wire!

Evolution of Impects, could be the best Tag Team, in EAW history, despite some excellent tag teams on that list. They are dangerous, deadly and clinical in what they do, and although many will not agree with how they go about certain things, but they get the results, and they are the EAW Tag Team champions. When Mr J Danny West grabs the microphone, and cuts a promo, it is awesome, he makes people listen, and he makes people feel something. Whether you love what he sasys, or you hate it, everybody listens, and everybody feels something, which is the job of any professional wrestler. Eric Phillips appears to get better and better every single time that he wrestles, proving to be one of EAW's best talents everytime he steps foot in the Pemberton Centre! Mister Moster, is an EAW fan favourite, and it is clear why! The star is the life and soul, and has been at EAW for more years than he can remember, I am sure, especially after all of the things he has been slammed through, onto and into, over the years! Monster is brilliant at what he does, and he will form a dangerous alliance with his friend, A-Star Andy Poole. •After match promo In December, there is going to be the first ever EAW Steel Cage Ladder Match between the four men, a match that may be, ever more brutal than the one witness this Sunday in November. The confident Eric Phillips & Mr J Danny West, have a reason to be confident, they beat Mister Monster at his own game. The Evolution of Imperfects say that they still want Mister Monster to join them, and they say because they won, they get to add a stipulation to their match next month. They announce that should they win the match, they own Mister Monster's EAW contract, and he will have no choice, but to join Evolution of Imperfects. Mister Monster however has said that he is going to fight until the end. He says that he is up for the stipulation in December, and his friend A-Star Andy Poole says that he rightly respects Mister Monster, and that he is going to stand by him and fight with him until the end, and they are going to be the EAW Tag Team Champions. Despite an excellent win, the promo ended in the fans chanting, Monster's gonna kill you!
•31 man Rumble Match Won by El Grando Beardo
The one man army, the beast El Grando Beardo went the whole way in this one, entering the rumble at number 1, and he was the last man standing as an incredible supershow came to an end! When it was Ritmo time, the crowd went up, and carnage ensued. The brilliant Ritmo began a DDT frenzy, hitting everyone in the ring, with a lethal move, one after the other, providing one of the best moments of the night. Ritmo was excellent in the Rumble match, with so much going on all around the ring, he was one, many found themselves watching! Despite him appearing earlier on in the night, when Chris Tyler came back out in the Rumble, it was hard to resist getting excited. The homecoming hero, that is on top of his game, after a time out with a shoulder injury. Chris Tyler hit hard in the rumble match, and was one of my, many, picks to go all of the way. The best moment of the match, involved the eventual winner of the Rumble in Rushden, El Grando Beardo. It was clear to the great fans in the Pemberton Centre, that it was going to be difficult to eliminate the beast, El Grando Beardo, especially after individual efforts from Paul Malen and Terry Isit early on. Then 8 men in the EAW roster decided they would help and all try to eliminate the one man army as one, but when the beast pushed back, all 8 of them, flew back all around the ring into the ropes, creating one of the biggest highlights of an amazing night! There was silence and the lights dipped. EAW announced a special guest appearance! As the excitement builded in the Pemberton Centre, when he came out, the Centre started bouncing and rocking! It was the return of Wheeler, aka Brady Phillips, a brilliant athlete and wrestler, and is most definatly, 'Britain's Best Kept Secret'! He was trained by Nick in the EAW academy from aged 13, a major contributing factor to the talent we see today. He has the look, he has the moves, he has the power, he has it all, and Brady Phillips is set for massive things in the professional wrestling business, he is going to take over, very soon! If you haven't seen Wheeler, aka Brady Phillips in action, you are missing out, on an exceptional wrestler, and a must see performer! After 29 EAW stars, including top talents, main eventers, trainees, but all brilliant wrestlers, had come and gone, there was two men, number 1 and 2! Paul Malen and El Grando Beardo stood face to face at the start and the end of the rumble, with so much at stake. Paul Malen offered a hand out and offered to be El Grando Beardo's friend, but he wanted to fight, and after a good brawl, El Grando Beardo eliminated the magnificent Malicious Malen, to win the EAW Rumble in Rushden!
