Q&A with the brilliant Gambit Eric Phillips. A true champion, and an excellent wrestler.

This week, I spoke to the Gambit of EAW, Eric Phillips. He is currently one half of the dominant tag team, Evolution of Imperfects and is always joined by his excellent tag team partner, Mr J Danny West. The Gambit Eric Phillips is a brilliant wrestler, that is quick, strong, powerful and is very cunning inside the ring. This Sunday, to the hell and back in a match with Mister Monster at EAW Rumble in Rushden, and not only survived but his smart thinking, earned the Evolution of Imperfects the win! Eric Phillips has held every single championship in EAW, and that is credit to his incredible in ring ability, and his quality as a heel, and getting the crowd going. Phillips gets you pumped up, and if you love him, or if you hate him, he makes you feel something, and he makes you react, the perfect scenario for any professional wrestler. Eric Phillips is destined for massive things, and the Gambit is capable of anything, as proved by his performance in the EAW Monster’s Brawl match. The Evolution of Imperfects are an exceptional tag team, and they were one of the highlights of an brilliant EAW Rumble in Rushden event. I was lucky enough to watch Eric, when he was 17 and breaking into the business, and form that age, he has been a seriously talented performer, and has grown into a star and everything he and the fans wanted, and so much more. •1. Which three people would you want to be stuck on a desert island with and why? Some dude who can get me some food some dude who can build a boat and another dude who can sail lol •2. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you buy? The first thing I would buy probably my house so that I dont have to keep paying rent every month lol •3. What series are you currently watching on Netflix? I don't have a Netflix account as I haven't got round to stealing someone's account yet lol but I am watching two and a half men as that never fails to crack me up  

•4. What would be the perfect day in the life of The Gambit Eric Young? Sleep •5. How do you want to be remembered when you finish your wrestling career? I would want people to remember me as The Gambit Eric Phillips the funny who who did some cool stuff too lol •6. What’s your most embarrassing moment, inside or outside the ring? Embarrassing moment I got way to many to list off my main one would be when I tried to do a flip in the middle of the town center and went too far and landed straight on my face... that was funny to watch back. •7. What’s your perfect pizza? Pizza is a tough one but gotta be bbq sauce chicken bacon sausage pulled pork just throw everything on •8. If you could have personally witnessed anything or been at any event, what would you have wanted to have seen? My tag partners birth so I could super kick him back up lmao

One bit is hard but what I was saying to the new guys on Sunday before the rumble was make yourself known make an impression as if you don't you will fade into the background. •10. You have wrestled all around the UK, but where is the best? And in Portugal too international gambit lol honestly I can’t narrow it down but I have to live rushden as it’s a 15 minute walk from my house •11. You are currently one half of the EAW Tag Team Champions, with Mr J Danny West, and appear to be unstoppable. A brilliant tag team, what is the goal for the two of you, how far can this go? The goal for us is to make a statement show why we are the best and put a sarcastic comment on the end of it... but this can go as far as we want it to and if people like it they they can throw there pinky rings to the moon! •12. Next month in EAW, you are taking part in the first, steel cage ladder match, having won a Monster’s Brawl match this weekend. Are you ready and what is the mindset going into this match? Of course I'm ready this is the last show in Rushden so I'm going to tear the roof down and make people realise the not only am I the most talented guy on the roster but that I can back up every word I say. 

•13. Who would your dream match be, past or present? Also, who would you want to team with? Dream match would be difficult if you watch me wrestle you can see a lot of influences such as Jeff Hardy, Shawn Michaels, Paul London, Matt Sydal so any match featuring those guys would be amazing •14. You have lifted every championship in EAW, you have been on top of your game for many years,w hat is the dream for the Gambit Eric Phillips? My dream is to make everybody know who the gambit is where I can walk into a bit and have people ask me to sleep with there sisters because I'm that damn famous! •15. What is your proudest moment so far? My proudest moment so far is difficult I think it was my 1st title wind of all the belts as it just goes to show that my 9 years has payed off.
