West of Scotland Cup (Round 2)

>Budhill United 4-0 The Burgh AFC

A win in the West of Scotland Cup for the Sunday Central based club, Budhill United. They put in a clinical performance to win 4-0, keeping a clean sheet. They will be delighted with the win and their progression through to the next round for the West of Scotland cup. They are going to be a dangerous side in the next round of the cup, a real one to watch in the competition.

>Eastfield Star 3-2 Polonia Glasgow

A huge win for the home club, Eastfield Star, as they are on the board and will celebrate a huge win. They will be delighted with an important home victory, and will hope this will lead to a run of victories, as they have a lot of positives they can take on with them. Polonia Glasgow will be hoping to take positives from this game, despite the result and will hope to get back on the park and pick up wins.

>Haghill 2-0 Cranhill United

An excellent start to the season continues for Haghill, as they won 2-0 at home, keeping a clean sheet and sitting 4th in the table. Haghill have won 3 out of their first 4 games this season, a side that are playing excellent football, and manager Paul Hughes, will be delighted. They will take confidence from the result and of course, a clean sheet, they will be hungry for more, and will be up for getting back on the park and picking up more points. Cranhill United know they were in a tough game this weekend, they are going to be hoping to put this weekend behind them, and hope to get back on track last weekend. They sit sixth in the table. A very good win for Haghill, and they are going take confidence from this, and hope to continue a brilliant start to the season.

>Castlemilk Dynamo 3-2 Eastend Tower

A huge game between two of the Premier 1 high flyers, and it was Castlemilk Dynamo are the team that have kept their unbeaten run. Castlemilk Dynamo have made it four wins out of four, a great start to the season continues, and three more points, making it a perfect start. They have scored an impressive 24 goals, in just four games, proving to be relentless in front of goals, and they will take confidence from this weekend’s performance. Eatend Tower know they were in a tough contest this weekend, and their unbeaten run was ended this Sunday, but they know they are an excellent side, and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways next weekend. They will hope that this Sunday, will have made them hungrier and more up for getting back to winning ways. Castlemilk Dynamo will be delighted with the result and ready to continue picking up wins, and playing exceptional football.

I spoke to a delighted member of the Castlemilk Dynamo side, Alan Semple, and he has said, "hard fought, see-saw type match on Sunday against a well organised Eastend Tower side. Dynamo 1-0 down at ht, then 2-1 up, then a Tower equaliser with 7 mins left, 2-2. Dynamo grabbing a late, late winner to take all 3 points. If Eastend don't win the league themselves they will certainly have a say in who does go on to win it. Goalscorers were Dom Larkin, James Miller and an absolute worldy of a last minute winner from Greg Twaddle. One to remember."

>Castlemilk United 1-7 Haldane United

An excellent victory for the visitors Haldane United, who find themselves third in the table, and they were clinical in front of goal this weekend. They scored seven away from home, and will take a great amount of confidence into their next game, as a result of this big win. Castlemilk United are still on the hunt for their first win of the season, and they will know that they were up against a very tough team, and they will pick up a win very soon. Haldane United will be delighted and ready to get back on the park and continue progressing up the table, and playing excellent football.

>Eastend Star 3-1 Rosehill Thistle

A Tuesday night clash, under the floodlights and a win for EastEnd Star. The host will be delighted with a win against Rosehill Thistle, manager Sean Smith will be proud of his boys, continuing an excellent start to the season. They are second in the table now, and have won 3 out of their first 4 games, playing great football, and remaining hot on the heels of Calderside, who sit top of the table. Excellent win for Eastend Star, they have been brilliant, and ready for the next challenge.

Cutting Edge Engravers Championship 1

>Eastend Rovers 2-3 HSV

Three out of three for the visitors, HSV as they pick up an away win, against a very good Eastend Rovers side. Eastend Rovers came up against a very good side, and they will be ready to get back on the park, and return to winning ways. HSV will remain hot on the heels of EK Athletic and chasing them and hoping to continue their unbeaten run. Eastend Rovers are going to be a club to watch, an excellent side, and one to watch, they can beat anyone on their day.

I spoke David Hosie, the captain of Eastend Rovers, and he has said, "disappointed to lose the game after going 2 goals up with a man advantage but on the whole HSV probably deserved the win. We’ll pick ourselves back up for next week when we look to get an important 3 points on the board with a few important players coming back into the squad."

>Rumours AFC 11-3 Provanmill Thistle

The first win of their league campaign for Rumours AFC, couldn’t have been in a more convincing way, as they won 11-3 at home in the league this Sunday. They were exceptional in the way they picked up their first win in the league for the home club. They will be delighted. A tough day for Provanmill Thistle, they came up against a hungry side, and they will hope to bounce back to form, very soon a tough day for Provanmill, but a good win for Rumours AFC.

>Vale Rangers 6-2 New Stevenson United

Friday night football, until the lights between these two teams, and a win for Vale Rangers. They will be delighted with a huge 6-2 win at home, and registering their first win of the season. Vale Rangers will be delighted, and will hope this will be the spark that will ignite their season, and send them rocketing up the league. They will take a lot of confidence from this game and hope to put together a run of games. They were up against a very good New Stevenson United side, who sit fourth in the table.

I spoke to Vale Rangers this weekend, after their Friday night win, and they have said, "the guys put in an excellent performance last week and were devastated to lost a last minute goal. All week we spoke about this game being a must win and the boys were right up for it from the start. A fantastic performance and one we’ll build on going into next weeks game. 4 goals from Scott Cowan who was phenomenal again, and 2 from Logan Park who’s been a great addition to the side. As I said a few weeks ago, this team is much better than we’ve been showing and I’m delighted we’ve got the win we’ve been waiting for."

>Bengal Lancers 4-1 Broadwood Clyde

A great home win for the Bengal Lancers this weekend, they will take confidence in scoring four goals, and will be pleased with the three points. They sit 5th in the table, a great result for the home club. Broadwood Clyde knew they were in a tough game, and against tough opposition. They are going to be hoping to back to winning ways in the coming games, and home to put together a run of wins.

>Newmains United 3-1 Rutherglen Burgh

Another win for Newmains United, who have found themselves in excellent form, and they are not top of the table. will be delighted with their recent run, they have been in brilliant form, and Paul McMahon's men will be delighted. Rutherglen Burgh came up against a tough side, and will hope to bounce back with a win next weekend. They will put this Sunday to the back of their minds and focus on picking up all three points next weekend. Newmains United will be delighted by the win, and ready to get back on the park, and hope to continue their win streak. They will be aware of two very good clubs, that have a game in hand on them, Bardykes Rovers and Glasgow Star have been in exceptional form. Kilsyth Rovers have also been in excellent form in this league, and Newmains United will be pleased with sitting top of the table. An excellent league, is proving to be tighter every single week.

>Eastwood Mearns B 6-0 Colquhoun United

An excellent win for Eastwood Mearns B, they have been in brilliant form, winning 6-0, and will be pleased to be back to winning ways. They will be delighted with scoring six goals, and now sit 4th in the table, and will take an excellent amount of confidence into the next set of games with them, an excellent win for the hosts, Eastwood Mearns B.

I managed to speak to Eastwood Mearns B, and they have said, "Absolutely buzzing that the lads have got our 2nd win in a row this week. We set out to play the way we have been training recently and we dominated the game with our passing. The score reflected the determination and drive that the lads have been showing all season. The boys showed excellent teamwork and there were some outstanding goals and moments in the game. We hope to keep the momentum going for our upcoming fixtures before the break."

>Nethercraigs 1-2 Summerston Amateurs

An excellent win for the visitors this weekend, as the Summerston Amateurs pick up that huge first win, that they knew was round the corner. They will be delighted with an away win, and against a very good Nethercraigs side. Nethercraigs United have had an excellent start to the season, and will hope to put this result behind them and bounce back to winning ways. They will be hoping that this lights a fire inside them, and they will be hungry for the win, next weekend. A tough game for Nethercraigs, but an excellent win for the away club Summerston Amateurs.

I managed to speak to Summerston Amateurs, and they have said, "finally got that first win boys deserved it held it 1-0 for majority then Nethercraigs equaliser looked like they were gonna snatch the points and we had a goal called offside and then we got the winner boys fought everywhere on the pitch and it was a good game."

I also spoke to Derek Crews, manager of Nethercraigs, and they have said, "Only have ourselves to blame for the defeat never got going until it was to late."
