They beat a very good, strong Cambria side. Two of the very best in the league going toe to toe in a fantastic clash. Cambria manager, Roderick McDonald, was very complimentary of the Newton Vale goal keeper, McKegney. He has been fantastic this season, and continues to put in, brilliant performances, a player that is a real contributor to the fact they are unbeaten at the top of the table. McKegney was awarded man of the match at the end of the match, something, both teams and the referee were in agreement about. Two brilliant sides that are going to be dangerous this year in Division 1, as they were in 2017, and always to keep an eye on them. The Cambria goals came from MacDonald and Gray. The Newton Vale scorers, were Darren Hampson, Craig Fellows and the fantastic Marc McFarlane.
