Glasgow Rovers will be ready for the next challenge, and will take a lot of confidence from this weekend's win.

I caught up with a delighted Glasgow Rovers manager, David Ramsay, and he told us, "Great victory for us today in appalling conditions.

Wind and rain made it hard for both teams to get any rythm going at all. Scrappy first half but we found ourselfs deservedly 2 nil up at half time through a calm james donnelly penalty and a fine finish from veteran raymond cameron.

Even at 2 nil up i was far from happy with our performance levels and asked the boys to lift it second half and i wasnt disappointed.

Further goals from mark mcghee, debutant franny hewitt james donnelly and a second from man of the match raymond cameron wrapped up the points.

A horrible day to play football but credit to both teams who turned up and battled away in the wind and rain.

All the best to rutherglen. A good spirited team that never gave up.

The journey continues"
