Winning the toss this time but choosing to bowl, it was a great spirited battle from the OBITS. A massive achievement that we had the character to bowl a team out, and even better to have not been bowled out ourselves. Despite the result a brilliant achievement for the team, as well as showing how the OBITS are improving.

Adam Skillern had the tough test of bowling at the end, but he only needed 8 balls to pick up 3 wickets and make that 5 wickets in the first two games.

Other excellent bowling performances include, Ash Butten coming on and taking 2 quick fire wickets hitting the straight right away and Edward Kendall bowling very well, his 2 overs just going for 4 runs, including a well deserved wicket hismelf.

Excellent OBITS debuts for Neal Adams and Aaron Edlington, who hadn't played cricket for many years, but settled in very quickly and looked comfortable with the bat and fielded brilliantly.

Special mention to Matt Johnson, who once again kept fantastically again, two very difficult pitches to have kept and Matt has made it look veey comfortable, looking natural behind the stumps.

The OBITS batting started very well, despite losing Adam Skillern on the first ball, Aaron Edlington (12) and Chris Keeble (17) getting the team right on track an excellent start to kick on from.

Ian Kendall (20) and Ash Butten started a good partnership, before Ash Butten was run out from a fantastic direct hit, an exception throw from the boundary. Then, Ron Gilbert came to the crease in a very difficult situation, and applied himself perfectly. Gilbert had to dig in deep and set in and work very hard for his unbeaten 16, which was so important, fantastic effort. Edward Kendall and Ron Gilbert dug in deep at the end both getting not out, and another match where the OBITS did not get bowled out.

More debuts tonight for the OBITS and another successful night. Many more to come as next time out we renew an old fixture against the Ramsey Gonads.
