Tough test first up for the Admiral OBITS, Mark Cadman and Johnly Jacob John opened up, followed by Ash Butten, they start really well, keeping the pressure on them. Chris Keeble came out and bowled tight once again, picking up a wicket maiden to start off. A very good bowling performance from all of the OBITS, great spirit in the field, Ramsey scored 152, we need 153 to win!

Chris Keeble (2) and Ian Kendall (21) kicked off, a quick start for Admiral OBITS, being 27 for 1 after the first 2 overs, run rate right up from the start. After the openers, Johnly Jacob John and Ash Butten came out and batted superb. The two of them kept the run rate up and both retired on 28 not out, an excellent start and the Admiral OBITS were well in this game. A game where everyone in the team scored at least a run, and Aaron Edlington (8) batted very well, and Mark Cadman got another not out, (26*), taking his OBITS average for the season to 52! Only losing 6 wickets in total for the OBITS, another outstanding performance as the team just gets better and better. Dave Keeble scored an excellent 7 not out, some excellent shots, and the former captain of the OBITS on his return can be very proud of how he batted. Special mention to Elliott Whittington, playing just his second game of cricket ever, and improving his bowling leaps and bounds, something that is only going to get better. Two more debuts for the Admiral OBITS, Ahmed Raja playing his first game in over 10 years, since school, bowling excellent picking up a wicket and it could have been more, as well as Johnly Jacob John coming in and both batting and bowling so well, a very impressive player. Man of the match for this one is Ash Butten for runs, wickets and catches! Batted absolutely excellent, but also for coming onto bowl in a very difficult situation but coming on and looking so comfortable, bowling without any pressure and taking wickets!

Falling just 3 runs short, a very tense game and the Admiral OBITS can be so proud of their performance throughout. Getting better and better, the end of August is our next game, a tournament at Wansford, which is going to be great fun.

The Admiral OBITS are onto the tournament at Wansford on Sunday 25th August, and the onto a game against Peterborough CAMRA on Thursday 29th August. The OBITS roll on.
